I'm a fan of the scriptural direction to "be anxiously engaged in a good cause." No matter how busy my life gets, I can always find the time and energy to participate in efforts that I truly believe in. And I always feel rewarded for doing so. It helps my brain, and my heart.
I've had the opportunity the last few weeks to play a very small part in helping the Matthew Blanchard Foundation, recently created by close friends to help a young man with a very rare, life-threatening heart ailment. It is a good cause.
If you have time, check it out online or on Facebook.
If you can kick in a few bucks to help, that's awesome -- it'll go to good use. And if you feel like sharing it with others, that's great, too.
