Finally in Frederick

I haven't updated my blog much as the family has been doing its best to move from Las Vegas to our new home in Frederick, Md.

The joys and travails of relocating a family of seven across the country are being documented by Yvonne and I on our family blog. That site has lots of photos and commentary from our final days in Las Vegas, the trip east, and our time spent getting into the new house.

Now that life is getting back to some level of normalcy, I'll pick it up on this site, too.

I will note that the reality of the move hits a little harder now that our house sale has closed. There was a certain freedom -- and reversability -- in not having a mortgage. Now that we're back in the land of homeownership, the finality of the move has set in. That's good, but sobering, too. I better get to work...
